Her song Guitar Man – which, for the record, is my personal favourite – perfectly illustrates what it’s like to be in a relationship to a musician who’s on the road for most of the year. Talking songs specifically on both of her latest EPs, Rose has a unique sound with a deep almost husky voice that is unmistakenably hers. Oh, and did I mention she’s married to country singer Rodney Atkins? So you can jolly well call her Rose Falcon Atkins. Fast forward a decade and in 2013 andFalcon has released two separate EP’s, first 19th Avenue, the EP followed closely by 19th Avenue, the EP Volume 2. She was 19 when her first album was released. ![]() ![]() As if taking a page out of her father’s book, Rose grew up to become a singer-songwriter herself some of her songs have been performed by the likes of Faith Hill and Lady Antebellum, and judging by how big those names are, it’s natural to assume that Rose is a superstar in her own right.įalcon’s first album entitled Rose Falcon was released in 2003 while she was the ripe age of 19. It was as if country music was meant to be in her blood. This beautiful young lady has grown up in the country music industry her mother passed away at a young age from breast cancer and so her father was forced to raise her by himself, and the singer-songwriter did so by taking her on tours with him. "Friday Night", was later recorded by Eric Paslay and released as a single on Apand reached number one on the Mediabase country chart. "Friday Night", a song written by Falcon, Rob Crosby, and Eric Paslay, was recorded by Lady Antebellum for their 2011 album, Own the Night. "Give Into Me", a song co-written by Falcon, Billy Falcon, and Elisha Hoffman, was recorded by Country singer Faith Hill for the soundtrack of the motion picture Country Strong. In August 2011, she signed with Show Dog-Universal Music and began working on her first country pop album, which was later released in the form of two EP's entitled, "19th Avenue Volume 1" and "19th Avenue Volume 2 and received an endorsement from Jon Bon Jovi. Inspired by the loss of her mother and feeling out of place throughout her school years, she began writing poetry which eventually lead to songwriting.įalcon signed to Columbia Records at the age of fourteen and released her debut album, Rose Falcon, in 2003. ![]() Falcon was ten years old when they moved to Nashville. In 1987, her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and died two years later (inspiring the song "Best Friend"), forcing her father to raise her himself as he traveled around the country for his music career. Her early years were spent in a studio apartment in New York City, New York, although the family moved to New Jersey when she was old enough to attend school. Rose Falcon is the daughter of singer-songwriter Billy Falcon and hairdresser Myla Falcon. Falcon has also written and performed songs which are included in the soundtracks of Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Master of Disguise, Raising Helen, Dawson's Creek, Hart of Dixie' and Inspector Gadget and have also been used in ad campaigns for Verizon Wireless, JC Penney, The Build a Bear Workshop, and Estée Lauder.įalcon is currently signed to Spirit Music Group out of Nashville, TN., as a singer/songwriter.
